Houston Part II

Today are friends and booths.... I know I only got to BRIEFLY see some people.... and some I missed.. boo hoo!! But here are a bunch of photos...with a few 'insider' stories! Also click to all THEIR blogs to see pictures and stories from my friends at market!

First is Mary Lou .... we agree to meet prior. So when I get there I phone for a lunch date and have to leave a message. Then I Decide I should really phone AGAIN and she answers.. woot!

She tells me she is LOOKING AT ME.... hehe.. my POSTER that is! So I hurry over there and we take pictures (of course!). Then off to find some lunch in the 'love-er-ly' food court. We find food and I learn that Mary Lou is the messiest eater there is! Lucky for her I didn't take photos of that Chili dog that was running between her fingers... LOL!  Mary Lou DID help me get my 'celebration quilt' ideas formulate.. a good thing!

Next are the "Dual Anne's" from Bunny Hill!! I was walking along when I spotted Gina and stopped to say hello. All of a sudden Anne #1 jumps out of the booth to introduce herself and tells me she reads my blog... woot! Then Anne #2 tells me she is on my yahoo group.. double Woot!  I just ADORE ADORE ADORE the Bunny Hill Anne's! Not only do I totally love their work I love their blogs and them too! This is Candace of Therm O Web.  On set up night we were STILL there late setting up machines.. well.. APQS was setting up and I was trying to stay out of the way. So I thought I'd find the Therm O Web booth so I could drop quilts in the morning.. Low and behold the whole team was still there! So I got my quilts to them on setup 'night'... the 2 that Candace is showing off have been in the Heat n Bond lite advertisements.

I was SO TICKLED to FINALLY meet Lynette! It's one thing to do an interview with someone and yet another to finally MEET them! I did get kick out of teasing her son. First time by the booth he was there and I asked if he was 'Mr. Lynette'... he was DARN confused... must of thought of me as a CRAZY WOMAN... And another Anne.... an Annie to be exact! Have you listened to Annie's podcast interviews? They are FABULOUS! She and I have been emailing and chatting by phone for awhile and on the LAST DAY of market we got together for an interview! Annie is soooooooooo delightful and fun... Me, Heidi Kaisand, Lila Scott and Linda Lum DeBono on the right. Linda is a Fellow designer at Leisure Arts. I've known her a  LONG time and love catching up with her at quilt market. She is a very talented gal! Read her blog HERE

Here I am showing George to a quilter and who shows up but Linda Jenkins! She told me she wasn't going to be at market... and Becky told me she WAS .... No Becky sighting but I did get to hug Linda! 1/2 the 'Piece O'Cake' team! CLICK HERE

And who did Linda come along with? None other than my buddy Glenna! Her wonderful husband took this photo which Glenna says is blurry because he was overcome by our 'beauty'... they are SUCH a hoot! Did you see I DID have multiple outfits... I did pretty good that way! I'll have more photos tomorrow!

I am not sure what this says about me but before I got to the end of your note I thought wow Pat has a few different outfits on! You look simply MARVELOUS!

What fun to see your Houston adventures. LOVE seeing all your quilty friends, too. Thanks for posting their blog/websites. Can't wait to go back and explore them later.
