Not wanting to make anyone jealous, but just had to share...

I bought an Empire red KitchenAid 18 months ago and had some problems. It's been back to them twice for repairs and they can't seem to fix it's problem.

How's this for FAB customer service? They called me today, apologised for the problems I've had, and are going to send me a brand new, CANDY APPLE RED one as a replacement!

I'm SOOOO Excited!! Gotta love my KitchenAid!

The mixer is a beauty but I get gaga over bright, shiny sewing machines!!!! A friend took me to a quilt shop 2 years ago and ...oh no.... there was this big, bright, white, shiny Brother Quilt machine with a huge detachable table that was also shiny and white! It came home with me. I love it. I now own 23 sewing machines, which includes sergers, treadles and handcranks!! As Pat says Woot Woot!

robin

My hubby bought me the red kitchen aide about 8 years ago as I kept blowing up the handhelds during christmas cookie bake a thons. My kitchen is now a lovely dark orange...but my red kitchen aide still sits proudly atop the counter for all to COVET!!

Sandy

Get the mixer!!! The honey man got me one several years ago and well its one of my most favorite appliances!! Its a wonderful wonderful thing! No you won't use it every day, but when you do it does what it does like nothing else!! Treat yourself, get the mixer!! :O)

Hey its cheaper than a new goat barn, sighhh this is my new desire LOL...mmmm now how could I raise enough money for a new goat barn? LOL...

Callipygian

I bought a shiny red KitchenAid 5 quart mixer three years ago. I spent several hours researching online to find the least expensive refurbished-just-like-new model, size, and color that would be absolutely perfect and not put me into debt. Then I realized I wanted it *that very moment* and I went to the closest store and bought one for maybe $300, ignoring everything I had just researched. I never regretted it.

Rosemary

you are so funny! I have a candy apple red 1940s chambers range stove, a fridge to match, and the red mixer you covet! LOL! Its a sickness, i tell ya! LOL! oh and the vintage mustang to match :)

Linda

Whoops! Forgot to mention that KA has a rebate for the mixer going on now til sometime in Sept. Get it!!

Linda

I love my 6 qt. KA. I settled for the Pearl color since it was cheaper than red through Amazon. (hint hint - Amazon has the red one!) I then treated myself to a new product called "Beater Blade" that has the rubber on the blades and I never have to scrape the bowl again. Also through Amazon!

For some reason I am wanting a serger, and a netbook. Don't need either one.

Betsy Lynn

I've had mine for 35 years, never a problem with it. My sister has my Grandma's from 1929 and it still works(only 3 speeds)! I gave my kids KitchenAid mixers for their wedding presents. They make the best bread. And double batch of chocolate chip cookies!

Erica K

Oh Pat...you know there are a ton of attachments you can get for it! You can get the shredder and shred and entire block of mozzarella in less than a minute...pizza anyone? Or the juicer...fresh squeezed OJ! What about the can opener. Need to save those hands for quilting you know... (I want the pasta maker SO bad! I hate my little hand powered one.)

I have the lovely orange mixer. It's older...when they first started experimenting with the colors. My parents got it for me for my birthday I think? And my dad said what about the big daddy, stainless steel one with all the power, but I had my heart set on that orange (it matches my espresso machine!). And though it looks really pretty on my counter, I sure wouldn't mind that power now...

Pat Sloan

wish bed bath and beyond had the anniversary shiny candy apple red!! But they don't... they have the regular red.. gonna need to get the shiny one!

everyone must trade in those white mixers!!

Sinta Renee

That is exactly the mixer I am getting my son & future DIL for their wedding gift. I wish they would have had those sporty colors when I got mine! The pie looks delicious!

Sandi

Oh, that would look so nice on my black counter-tops and I bake a lot so I could make it pay for itself in no time. Now I'm going to have to go see one for myself!

Mary

I have a Kitchen Aid, but no glass bowl.
I don't think I have ever seen a glass bowl.
Think of the mixer as a necessity not as a luxury and go buy it.

Kelly Wenhold

Pat is so worth it. I've been through many, many other mixers. I seem to burn them up at Christmas cookie time. BUT my Kitchen Aid mixer is wonderful & can handle anything! It also makes wonderful whipped cream for your cherry pie!

Pam

Here, this might make it easier:

And you can use one of their 20% off coupons. :)

Denny Shaw

My mom gave me a Kitchen Aid mixer for my first Christmas when I was married and that was 42 years ago. The mixer is still running and it has only gone to the shop for fixing ONCE - that could be a record.

Heather

I too love those Kitchen Aid and mixers and when they make them in such cool colors how are we able to resist?

Jane

I want this!!! But, I already have a white one.:( Not sure hubby would agree that I need it. But I soooooooo do!

Nancy

oh Pat...you can have a mixer and not have to take up baking... Wouldn't it look pretty with fq's stuffed in there. Or some sewing tools... I love my mixer... It makes the best homemade whipped cream... you know...for that cherry pie...
BTW, you don't use a mixer for cherry pie...

Margaret

I got a kitchen aid mixer for my birthday two years ago, LOVE it, but it is only white, not a cool shade of red! Currently I am coveting a piece of scrapbooking equipment......the new pink edition of the Sizzix bigshot (diecutting machine)But alas I needed new tap shoes so no new toys for the time being.

Kelly Ann

Did you really say you'd take up cooking to get a cherry red mixer??? you must be running a cherry red fever....:)
