Lots of people ask....

Lots of people ask me what do I do to 'Relax'?   Or what do I do for 'Fun'?    Well last night I decided not to 'work' ... and what did I do? 

Did I read? Did I go to the movies? Did I watch TV or play mini-golf?   

No, no I didn't do ANY of those things.

I quilted... LOL!   I'm working on Anne Sutton's free blocks FOR ME, FOR FUN.. so last night I worked to get 'caught up'.  Take a peek at my evening....

First I had to get my box of 30's fabric from upstairs.  And bring it downstairs. I think it's getting a bit FULL! All my Bunny Hill blocks are in 30's fabric.

I knew I wanted chocolate icing on the cuppies but I could find no brown in this box. Asked my Facebook friends if they had SEEN brown 30's... a few had... seems it's not too cute.. hehe!! I bet if I REALLY dig in there I'd find a brown. The box WAS sorted in colors.. need to resort.

Got distracted by a bag I want to embellish.  So I went digging for trim. Also needed the trim for my block handles..  I was looking for brown with pink. Pink with brown, or brown/pink with white. That polka would have been perfect had it been pink!

forgot to get the rick rack for the block handles and had to go back into the rick rack box.

Needed wool for 2 blocks. Back up stairs, get out the step stool, go into my rug hooking bag as I know there are some pieces in there. Didn't find white and black.  Found sort of light yellow/cream and brown.  When I opened the brown I found this. WHAT IS THIS???? Why would I have done this? I am sure it was NOT ME... that's my story.. you know the rest.

So here we go.. sorry the lighting was not great at 10pm in my studio..   On the left is the 'yellow and brown' sheep. I think he is DARN CUTE!  On the right are the 'Brown Cuppies' in NOT 30s brown.. which is totally fine with me!

Love your blocks! I just volunteered at the State Fair. While there I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit the animal barns. My annual 'must see'!! I can honestly say that your lambie is the perfect color! And I love your brown frosting on the cuppies! Between those and your sticky buns, I'm convinced that I'm gonna have to bake something this afternoon!

I would have sent you some Brown 30's if you weren't in a hurry to get it. It would have been at least 2 days in the Mail. and with the Holiday week-end, 3. Love the Lamb, you know Mary had one of those...
