I've been thinking about it... been reading about it... been making lists.. and finally at 3pm yesterday I decided ... YES .. Sometimes a GIRL JUST NEEDS TO BAKE SOMETHING!!
I used to bake A LOT... and I mean A LOT! But once I didn't have an office to feed, I got out of the habit. So Yesterday afternoon I took my list for Pioneer Woman's stickybuns... went to the grocery store and stocked up on ALL the things I did not have. Like baking soda, syrup, flour, sugar.. you get the idea.
This is what Ree's buns (sticky buns) look like, she did hers with apple, I'm making with nuts (Recipe HERE)
Ree is an EXCELLENT photographer, my food photos (if I do any) are not this excellent... just look at her site if you have not been.. it's amazing for the photography alone!
ok.. back to MY adventure ... Here is how I started at 4pm on Sunday... I think we'll be having them for dessert!

I have 'cleaning gloves' to match this... REALLY! I ONLY tell the truth!
I have to use a timer for everything I do... I get SO FOCUSED I have no clue how long it has been. I can clip this on me and go anywhere! Well..just ABOUT anywhere.... leaving the neighborhood with timer attached is not recommended
Can you STAND IT??? I wanted to peek SO BAD... waited for 40 min before I took a TINY peek to see how the dough was rising!

Do you KNOW how fun this was????? It seems I LOVE to make stuff... food, quilts, beads, paper, or gardens... I LOVE to create!

They were good... very very good! Had them for dessert after dinner!
Maybe I should be like "Julie and Julia"... make ALL of the recipes at Ree's blog... mmm... wonder how many there are???

Pat, I think you are trying to make us all "chubby". I made those peach things you showed a picture of a few days ago...wow, easy and scrumptious! I don't think I'll try these sticky buns, though. My husband is pre-diabetic, and I think these might put him over the top.

DD Mary is a biiiiggg fan of pioneer woman, and we have had several of her recipes -- her onion strings are to die for. I'll have to ask Mary about these cause they look yummy!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I'm in agony here. Those lookd soooooo good. Thank the Lord they are at your house and not mine cuz the diet would be out the window!
