One word... then Let's get this party started!

The last few years Ali Edwards has written on her blog about selecting a word for the year. She writes about taking that word and living it for the year. I've tried it... but ended up forgetting the concept very quickly.

This year I WILL live my word. So I thought about it, looked at word lists on Ali's Blog, then made a short list of words to see what 'felt right'. 

Then I read Margi's blog and she HAD her word already... ahhh.. the competition!! I emailed her my short list and showed her the one I thought felt right.. and as I told her... it snapped into place as THE word for 2010. 

My word is

 

Possibility. I'm SO serious about this word that I made a new banner with it.

"Surround Yourself with Possibilities".

When looking for my word this year I wanted one with either a 'P' or a 'S'... and my tag line for the year does BOTH!

My entire next year is going to focus on this word. Everything I do I will do with 'Possibility'.

The 'true confessions' cracked me up.. and I see a few of you are going to be INSPIRED to get yourself something CUTE to look at all year! Why look at totally boring calendars when cuteness can be had for the WHOLE YEAR???

The winner of a fabric bundle from the comments yesterday is  Betty  who gave us her confession of cutting out the old calendar and pasting it OVER the new!!

Let's Get this Party STARTED!!! It's the last hours of the '200x'... and soon 2010 will be here... and we want to rock this year in!!

Starting ..mmm. ... NOW through Sunday night is our Share-A-Long!! I want to know WHAT you are doing... tell me and everyone... about your New Year's traditions.. are you going someplace special to ring in the year? Will you cool a certain food on New Year's day? Will you organize or sort or put to 'bed' 2009 in some way to best welcome 2010?

Really I mean it....

OH MY... Really we should just STOP the presses on this year... how in the WORLD did it get to be almost 2010 without me knowing it???  

And WHO allowed FRIDAY to be Jan 1 anyway??? I am not prepared.. not prepared at ALL...

So really.. I mean it... I need a FEW MORE DAYS of 2009 to get ready... what about you????

This year I did not get a calendar... What do you think that means?  Well it means I didn't MAKE TIME to think about it yet and go buy one... hehe!

Because you see I'm REALLY ready for 2010 to get here... but I need a few more 2009 things out the door to start my Bright as A Fresh new Penny Year!!

Usually I have a day by day calendar. The last few...for  many years, have been a dog day by day. But I wanted a change this year.

One year I had a happify calendar (click HERE) and loved it as it had a Ferris Wheel! Look at the keys for Nov 2010... NOVEMBER... MY month.. with KEYS!! I LOVE keys!!!

ok... I"m rambling... because I'm writing this late and I'm thinking I didn't get my usual time to plan and review before Jan 1... and wondering if I can just do that TOMORROW.... no matter what I 'should' be doing... What do you think?

New Year's Share-A-Long and a ZoZoBugBaby

I have not met Julie Martin yet, but I DID meet her adorable children's outfit at Quilt market... and why? Because she used my Georgia Fabric!

Julie and I have become great friends through facebook and now that my fabric is out you can get her pattern to use!!  Julie's signature item on her outfits is the large flower.. and I WANT that flower in her hair.. is that sassy or what???  plus I'm not sure she can find more adorable children to model... just SO SO CUTE!

A break from our regularly Scheduled programming...

I've had a little break from normal work.. and Now it's Monday again... yippee you say.. yes.. I DID hear you do a little Yippee!!!

Maybe because YOU are on va-ca this week.. is that it??  Let me know in the comments if you are working or on Vacation... cuz I want to be jealous and everything if you have the week off!!

So this is my new messy hair.. and FABULOUS new glasses.  Do I look different?

I FEEL different!

New ... Fresh for the next year.. maybe next 10 years! oh wait.. could NEVER keep my hair style 10 yrs!!!

This lovely pile of fabric is a project I'm working on for a redwork book.. so loving this! I will be quilting the first quilt today.

And SO excited about all the comments left at Yarn Mashup on my little bitty yarn inventory...

Which is mostly bit's I've bought and never did anything with.. 

no project in mind when I bought it ...

so there sit many single skeins ...

nothing that looks like it can go together..

I may become the One Skein wonder crocheter of ALL time!!! Is there an Olympic event for that yet??? mmmmm

If you have been following my yarn follies you know about the Pink Torte.. well yesterday I unknitted the thing, rolled it up and started a crocheted throw.. I'm SO MUCH HAPPIER to crochet!  Whew... the deed is done.. now go read up on my inventory and GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS! I mostly want to know what yarn to buy for the hexagons as I will have to purchase .. oh darn!
