When I told my buddy Roseann that I was going to have Jo Ann Mullaly on the radio show to talk about wool and her wool crazy book... well this got Roseann thinking. She came up with the idea that we have 4 of us do a Wool Crazy round robin!!!
But not a big block, just a big Pincushion.. how fun is THAT!! We invited Brenda Mercado the owner of Pumpkin Patch Primitives. She has a big group doing the Wool Crazy blocks and a special blog just for it.. so we all thought she MUST play with us!
On the radio show April 26 we chatted wool then announced our round robin.. what fun!

Yes.. on the show I say I'm doing patriotic.. but I changed my mind! I'm a girl.. and a quilter.. I'm allowed
Circle... sort of oval... whatever.... if you want a perfect circle use a compass or a template... just saying!
Jo Ann has you put batting behind your wool. I have very thin batting so added some fabric on the bottom layer
I am thinking Flowers, birds and a touch of black....

And the Winners of my Monday Radio Show Giveaway!
Kathy - Book from Jo Ann
What a fun show this week...Joanne is a delightful person to listen to. I have never worked with wool in any fashion, so it's all new to me! My favorite part was all the excitement about the pincushion project... I can't wait to see what y'all make!
Sue - Quilt Sign from Brenda
I love working with wool! I would like to know while doing the Crazies are the applique' pieces spot glued or pinned down? Are freezer paper templates used?
Looking forward to today's show.
Gayle - Olfa Blades

This looks like fun. I like the idea of following along on everyone's website as they each add to each pincushion. What a fun idea.

Your pin cushion looks fun all ready, and you are just getting started. I was really excited about the Americana one, cuz that's "my thing", but yes, you can change your mind!! Have you seen those cute pin toppers on Esty?? soooo soooo cute, you need one!! Another great tutorial, was wondering how to get started.
