I added a sailboat and the flower to Roseann's... this give Jo Ann heartburn... ummm... an NICE challange to fill in the area that is left and make the flower 'fit'.
So why the flower? Well I thought a sun would look FABULOUS in that spot. But when I finished it looked more like a flower! So I added the green flower cap ... stuck a fork in it and called it DONE!
Do you see the clever watermelon at the bottom.. I SO LOVE that!!
Visit my partners in this Jo Ann Mullay, Roseann Kermes and Brenda Mercado!
And if you are looking for me on Friday... you know.. ON THE SHIP.... My hair is a bit darker (and will be more fluffy on Friday).. we cruise out of Baltimore on Friday with a gang of EXCITED and AWESOME Quilters for my New England Summer Cruise!!!
In 2011 I'll be cruising out of Baltimore to the Caribbean on Nov 3... start saving.. Sew Many Places can put you on a payment plan so you'll be all paid up when the day arrives!

Jane Thank you for loving my hair!!
ahhhhh.. where I Serendipity Quilt shop?? Sounds like a Rockin Place!
Grace the wool is felted 100% wool. I mostly use hand dyes.. but you need to buy wool with a tight weave then felt it if you buy off the bolt. Wool is a bit more complicated than cotton as it's different weights/ weaves, felted, not felted. I"m out of stock on the book.. you can get it by calling Roseann's shop (click the link to Roseann)

Question, do you have to use a special wool fabric to do these projects, or just what you can buy in a fabric store? I love the look of these Round Robin projects, and I would like to try this technique. Also, did you mention in a previous post that you were selling a book in your store? Thanks for the help, Pat.

Love the wool projects, and if anyone blend that flower in JoAnn can! I love how in this craft - we can back up a bit and call our design something else - LOL!!! I will have to scroll back thru & see how the watermelon evolved - it's great!
No need to say have fun on your cruise, I know you will!! Enjoy!
