Can never have too many bags, or ways to make them.

There's always so much to see on your blog, it's fun to look around. Just wanted to let you know about the book giveaways I've been doing on my blog, there is one up now, and more to come. Also, I love the George I bought from you a couple years ago! Latest giveaway post: http://lamdes.blogspot.com/2010/08/book-review-skinny-quilts-table-runners.html

I also have not made a bag yet but would love to try...especially for the giveaway book. Loved the show.

Colleen

I love Kristine's bags and the suggestions.
I have not made a bag yet but now I am going to give it a shot.
Thanks

Joanne Dorgan

I enjoyed the session with Kristine Poor. I did not know what tyetek was until I went to her website to see. It makes you think outside the box.

Cindy Grenda

Loved hearing about Kristine Poor's latest bags and the mediums she uses. I already own some of her patterns and they are very easy to follow along, and go together quickly. Thank you for having her on your show.

Gwen

Your tips are great! I'm just getting into sewing and find your radio show to be really helpful! Thanks for sharing with us!

Mary Durham

Great interviews. I love making bags - thanks for the tips.

Willa

Love making bags. Usually my own pattern. Ready to learn something new!

Sue

Hi Pat - what a great show this week! I love making bags and trying out new patterns. I really got a lot out of the segment about classes and choosing teachers. I will try out her tips!! Sue

Kelly Wenhold

Love the bags and I love her suggestions she gave online for unusual materials! I just picked up a quilt magazine and they have a bag made out of a dog food bag. Kristine has inspired me to try it! I'm thinking my little Annie needs a bag for when she goes to Nana's for the day!

Debby, Chester NY

I just made a bag using your pattern for my cousin & this week, I need to make my Mom a "Bingo" bag to use when she goes to her senior meetings & to play bingo. I'm getting to be known as the bag lady!

Wendy

I really enjoyed Kristine's tips re: pockets inside the bags, including using interfacing and changing the sizes to the sides get sewn into the seams. Smart. I also want to thank you for Morna's interview. What a wealth of information in that intelligent lady's brain bucket!!

Gretchen

I am looking for a very specific bag or bag pattern. What I really want is a purse with a padded pocket that is just the right size to carry my iPad with me. What I keep finding is laptop cases and that is more than I want.

Kathy Howard

I'm a quilter who has started making bags in an effort to support my fabric habit. I have become hooked on designing my own at Spoonflower. The bag book sure sounds interesting.

Marcia

I have not yet made a bag so a bag book would be an immense help. Thank you for the informative interview and hosting this giveaway.

Lisa Garner

Enjoyed the discussion about taking classes. I am lucky to live in Lancaster, PA where we have 2 big quilt shows each year that bring in nationally recognized teachers. Most classes I've taken have been great, only one was disappointing. Also agree, that you should get more than one opinion about a teacher. I've heard that "Ms. Smith" was a horrible teacher, but I was at a weekend retreat and she was excellent.

Kris Poor

Pat - Thanks so much for having me on today to talk about bags - they are so much fun!

To Karen regarding putting in pockets:
How about laying out your lining piece with the tools that you would like to keep organized laying on top and then "auditioning the pocket" over the tools? This way, you can adjust the height and section the pocket just the way you need to. Hope this helps! -Kris

I love bags. My kids tease me about my bag fettish. When I go to the fair I walk around getting all of the free bags.

Morna McEver Golletz

Pat, Thanks for having me on as your guest today. I had a great time talking teaching and quilting with you and the "Sloanies." Looking forward to seeing you in Houston also. Morna

Karen O'Connell

Is this where I post a question for you or the guest? I like to make bags, but get intimidated by the inside pockets. Half the time I don't put them in, then everything is on the bottom of the bag. Sometimes the pockets are too deep or too large and my tools get "lost" and are difficult to find. Any suggestions?
