Thank you so much for the Ireland book.....it is terrific, I received it yesterday and don't know which project to start first!
I just love the little black faced sheep.... ( now how did they get the name "killer sheep"?)
It is packed with great ideas, pictures and full of memories of my trip to Ireland some years back.

My mother-in-law has a plate with a painting of an oak tree on it and beneath it reads, "It takes a long time to grow and old friend." I've always liked that.
Making a fast friend is nice, but an old friend is sturdy like an oak. When the harsh winds of life blow, the oak will not sway.

Rose, We used to sing that in Girl Scouts when I was a kid. We would sing it in a round. thanks for bringing up such wonderful memories!

One of my favorite friendship quotes was on a quilt and when I researched for the source,IT WAS ONE OF YOURS! ha! "May your house always be too small to hold all your friends"

No specific friend quote but following your coffee theme I love to share a Double-Double with friends at the local Tim Hortons.
Just had a call from a friend. There are a group of them getting together to bake shortbread cookies and sell them with the profit going to help in Japan. Friends are supportive and creative in so many ways.

I have this saying about friends and I don't know if it's a song or my Grandmother made it up but we would sing it all the time.. "Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other is Gold."
So true friendship is a precious gift.

Most people know "Cats in the Cradle" and "WOLD" but he had a wealth of music. One fan even described him as a way of life. Heard this first years ago and it never left me.

Pat, I don't have a quote BUT; Got to say, if you like coffee (& you obviously do) get yourself a DeLongi Nespresso machine.... I have one & LOVE IT. Taste & smell is equal to a coffee house, AND in your own home.
