My buddy Victoria asked me if I would help her meet a goal
A goal of 400 donated quilts by Nov 24.
They go to BASICS/Promesa, a community based organization in the South Bronx, New York City. This groups works with disadvantaged families to give them the ability to thrive. Victoria asked if they needed some quilts, because as a quilter we know what it means to have something handmade.
So finish a quilt and then send that Finished quilt to Project Basics, you be a winner by helping others. CLICK HERE to read about the project

FIU, pronounced phew as I wipe my brow. I finished my two projects that I committed to here on 8/16. One is going to the BASIC quilt drive with two other quilts I have. The pictures are under fiberartist2010 in Flickr. Thanks for the gentle nudge to get these done.

I just added a photo of 3 baby quilts to your flickr group - my FIU challenge is to get all 3 bindings done and then they'll be sent to BASICS! Thanks for your extra kick to get me going ... Wish me luck!

I just finished my August project -- I am putting the finished pics on Flickr. YAY, all done. And, I'm just about finished a quilt to send to Basics....

I will most definitely be sending some quilts to the "Basic Quilt Drive".. It will help me finish up some of my UFO's.. I'll be sure to post them when I am ready to send them off!

I've committed to finish binding a storm at sea lap quilt & machine quilt and bind a stack & wack quilt.
