Pat's Pick. I first heard about this book while listening to a radio interview with the author. It's a fabulous tale that I hope you enjoy..
---Edward Dolnick is the author of The Forger's Spell, the true but bizarre story of the twentieth century's greatest art hoax. His previous book, The Rescue Artist, looked at the thugs who snatch masterpieces off museum walls and the detectives who chase them. The Rescue Artist won the Edgar Award in 2006 for best non-fiction, and Art News declared that "there has never been a better book on art crime."

Roberta's Pick for her Mrs. Pollifax books. I think these sound great! Here is a bit about the author
"Dorothy Gilman started writing when she was 9. At 11, she competed against 10 to 16-year-olds in a story contest and won first place. Dorothy worked as an art teacher and telephone operator before becoming an author. She wrote children’s stories for more than ten years and then began writing adult novels about Mrs. Pollifax–a retired grandmother who becomes a CIA agent."

Good Book Cafe (GBC)– The Scoop
I enjoy books, my friends enjoy books, my family enjoys books, and lots of people I meet enjoy books. So it made sense to have some fun and put together a Book Club! This is a place where we can share ideas, authors, and the best reads around.
The booksare mostly 'light' reads. I will be listing an alternate book each month and if someone tells me about a great 'must read' .. well I'll list that too.
I also have a Yahoo group for the GBC. You can sign up and chat with us. It is mostly a sharing of books, requests for feedback on books, and bringing up new authors. There is sometimes a small bit of story discussion. I'd love to have you join this more interactive forum.
