Bag in use

I got a great deal on these little project bags. What is SO COOL is that they fit INSIDE your OTHER big totes! I am loving them because I can keep a project or two in these bags and find them easily in the bigger tote bag.  There come in purple, lime, pink and teal...

When I first started designing I had my patterns published by Indygo Junction company. I'm getting a few of those for the store and this Tote with Ticking is really easy to do!

There are several attachments for the Guideline ruler. I got 2 of them for the store. The one pictured is to combine 2 rulers so you can do long cuts, sweet! The 2nd attachment in the store is a nifty way to  take the math and guessing of seam allowances out of cutting squares, rectangles and diamonds with the S bar. Half square triangles with the H bar and quarter square triangles with the Q bar.

PS - I need a bit of time to work up a new fun series to give you. As you may have guessed, I do these free patterns for the joy of it. I do them to amuse me. It's a bonus if you like them too! I don't write them as regular patterns and I make them right before I give them to you. So in a bit I'll figure out what will make ME smile and I'll start drawing and sharing.  So watch for some little designs until I'm ready with a bigger one.

The next group of books for the Good Book Cafe will be up soon... so check the book club page in a few days! Read my blog to know when it's been updated.

Thoughts and a Quote

You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need.
- Jerry Gillies

Isn't that a GREAT quote?

Really it is a LIFE CHANGING quote. It's exciting to find your path, exciting to walk the trail it leads you on, exciting to wake up every day happy to be doing what you love!

Not sure what your path is? Do you need to try something new? Do you need to feed your soul?

Cruise_picMake a list of things you love to do. Are you doing them?

Make a list of things that are important to have in your life. Are you including them?

Make a list of things you WANT to do but have not done yet. Now Pick one, do it this week or start the process to make it happen.

For me I'm doing the job I dreamed of and planned for since I was a little kid. I wanted to design and make things. I wanted to have a 'store'. I wanted to share my love of making things with others.

And what do I want to do next? Next I need to add balance back to my life as building a business involves taking on big tasks and working long hours to make them happen. And at some point that became a habit and the balance is off. I think of it like a motorcycle going fast and low around the curve, at some point you go upright and straight again.

So for me I'm working on getting upright and straight. Something that I didn't realize I needed to do. I have so much fun doing what I do each and every day that being a bit out of balance sort of happened and I didn't know it!

It's good to assess things isn't it? I hope you make a few lists and make a few changes. Let me know how it's going... and I'll let you know how I'm doing.... I promise!

And I'll see you at the sky bar, the view is fabulous!
